A few things that explain how my brain works.
I notice things.
I’ve always had a very visual brain.
But also a very analytical one.
Drawing on one side Physics & mathematics on the other.
That combination never really went away.
That’s also how I approach products.
I don’t start with screens. I start by understanding the system:
the people using it, the relationships between them, the existing patterns and constraints, and what happens beyond the happy flow.
I ask a lot of questions, build a mental model quickly, and look for the consequences a new decision might have elsewhere in the product.
That’s especially useful when you already have a complex product and something is changing. A new feature, workflow, user type, AI capability, or a product that has simply grown harder to reason about.
You don’t need someone who will just design what was asked. You need someone who can get up to speed quickly, see how the pieces connect, challenge the brief when necessary, and help you make the new thing fit the whole.
